Andrzej Tuźnik – Places

Places are a loose series of paintings, usually landscapes, depicting the outskirts of cities, where people are anonymous elements of the landscape. We can only guess what emotions these characters have or what relations they connect. The viewer here is someone from outside, someone who is watching the fleeting moments. Tranquility that characterizes all images is a tool for formal aesthetic exploration. Their goal is to reach – through theme, mood, composition, color, light – more general rules for defining art. The desire to synthesize and remove unnecessary details is aimed at finding the essence of the things surrounding us and the impressions we perceive. As a result, places are a kind of a carrier and a pretext to discover yourself, your emotions and desires.
